So, my partner in teaching crime got to attend the wbl seminar this week. I however did not. She called me on her way back because she was so excited and just knew this would be right up my alley! She knows me well. I went to the site around 9:00pm this evening. It is now 12:22am and I have just created my first blog site! I am so excited to try this out when school starts in august. My biggest challenge is going to be how to make it work in our departmentalized setting and w me teaching social studies. I am sure I am not going to sleep very well tonight because I wont be able to stop thinking about and processing this! I am so excited to try this. I wish school was starting sooner. As I go through the site again I will post here how I am thinking it might work in my situation. Once school starts I will post how it is going!

ReplyDeleteI know there have been posts on the message board before where people wondered how it would work in a departmentalized setting. I don't think it would be too difficult. The kids just know that when they come in your class, this is the way things run. But if your teammates want to try it too, that is all the better!
